Meta AI offers a range of creative tools designed to help users bring their ideas to life. One notable feature is “Imagine me,” currently in beta in the US, which allows users to generate images based on a photo and a specific prompt, such as “Imagine me as a rockstar.” This feature leverages a new personalisation model that can create various imaginative scenarios. Additionally, Meta AI has introduced editing capabilities, enabling users to modify images by adding or removing objects and making other adjustments. An “Edit with AI” button will soon be available to further refine these images.
These creative tools are integrated across Meta’s platforms, allowing users to generate and share AI-created images directly within Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. This feature, currently available in English, is set to expand to more languages and platforms soon.
Meta AI has also upgraded its capabilities to handle more complex tasks, particularly in math and coding. By incorporating the advanced Llama 405B model, Meta AI can provide detailed assistance with math problems, offer coding support such as debugging and optimisation, and help users understand intricate technical and scientific concepts. Users can combine these enhanced coding and image generation abilities to develop new games or innovative projects rapidly.

In addition to app-based improvements, Meta AI is becoming more integrated into Meta’s hardware products. It will soon replace the current Voice Commands on Meta Quest headsets in the US and Canada, enabling hands-free control and real-time information retrieval. Users can interact with Meta AI in Passthrough mode to ask questions about their physical environment, get weather updates, and receive local recommendations, enhancing the mixed reality experience.
