With Apple Business Connect, businesses of all sizes, regardless of whether they have a physical location, can create a brand that appears to over 1 billion Apple users.
Apple has expanded its tools to help businesses, regardless of size or physical presence, connect with over 1 billion Apple users through its Apple Business Connect platform. This expansion allows verified businesses to manage how they appear across various Apple applications, such as Apple Maps, Wallet, and Mail. The update enables businesses, even those without brick-and-mortar locations, to create consistent and recognisable brand identities across Apple services.
“We’re excited to offer all businesses — including those without a physical location — the ability to create a brand that appears across the Apple apps that over a billion people use every day,” said David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product. “We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow.”
The expansion includes tools aimed at promoting business growth by offering businesses the ability to claim and manage their location on Apple apps.
Features include updating photos and logos, and allowing customers to take actions such as ordering food or making reservations directly from place cards. Through these updates, businesses that operate entirely online or provide services without a physical location can also register and benefit from Apple’s ecosystem.
New features include the introduction of Branded Mail and customised logos for payments. Businesses can now sign up for Branded Mail, allowing their logos and names to appear in customer emails in the Mail app, making their communications more recognisable. This feature is expected to be available later in the year. Additionally, businesses can display their logo when accepting payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone, providing customers with a more secure and trusted payment experience.
Why is this important?
In 2025, Apple plans to roll out Business Caller ID, allowing businesses to display their name, logo, and department when calling customers. This feature aims to differentiate verified businesses from spam callers, enhancing trust and reducing unwanted outreach.
Businesses can sign up for Business Connect using their existing Apple Account or by creating a new one. The registration process will be accessible on various devices, and businesses can customise their brand presence for free.
Apple’s expanded branding tools are aimed at building trust, enhancing user engagement, and enabling businesses to grow by leveraging Apple’s platform for eCommerce.
