Paid Social Specialist

We are looking for an analytical, creative, and enthusiastic Paid Social Specialist who wants to further develop their career in digital marketing. As a Leeds-based agency, here at Spike, we create partnerships, exceed targets, and optimise e-commerce. The applicant must be able to work independently and alongside our vibrant team to deliver out-of-the-box paid media strategies, from the prospecting phase through to acquisition.

You will be a motivated self-starter, with several years’ experience in a paid media role, a passion for paid social, and an appetite to learn and develop in digital marketing. You will work within our Paid Media team managing and supporting on client accounts predominantly across paid social, but with exposure to, and the opportunity to get involved in paid search, programmatic display, video and a number of other aspects of digital marketing. You will also be working closely with other teams to identify paid social opportunities for existing clients and prospects within a new business context.

You will put our clients at the heart of what you do, and show a strong interest and desire to build brands online.

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £30,000 – 35,000 + Bonus

Location: Leeds, typically 2 days in the office, but this can vary.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience managing paid social campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Expertise in paid social advertising platforms, such as Meta Ads Manager, Snapchat ads, LinkedIn ads, X ads and TikTok ads
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of event/conversion tracking and analytics/attribution.
  • Confidently develop paid social strategies
  • Be actively involved in pitches and new business activity
  • Develop an understanding of our clients’ businesses and the sectors in which they operate
  • Create paid social ad account builds and manage/optimise on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in the process of briefing designers/content producers for ad creatives
  • Carry out regular and ad hoc reporting across multiple platforms
  • Work with account managers as part of each client project team
  • Continually strive to learn and grow your knowledge within paid media and digital marketing more broadly
  • Demonstrate tenacity and proactivity within the role
  • Prior experience of working to weekly/monthly targets (desired but not essential)

  • An analytical mindset is very important in this role to be able to identify areas of opportunity and performance issues
  • The ideal candidate will be confident working with numbers and data at scale
  • A creative approach is also required when creating social ads, solving problems, and understanding audience behaviour and motivations
  • Have a keen eye for detail in all aspects of their work
  • A passion for problem solving and exploring new approaches is desirable, but this is an attitude we look to instil in all our employees
